Anti-Bacteria GAPDH Mouse mAb - Loading Control
Catalog number :AT1749
GAPDH is a critical enzyme in the glocolytic pathway, catalyzing the 6th step of glycolysis which is the beginning of the pay-off phase of glycolysis where a gain of ATP can be seen. GAPDH is primarily associated with metabolic functions but has also been shown to have a role in transcription activation, apoptosis and intracellular vesicle shuttling. Due to the importance of GAPDH in metabolic processes it is expressed in nearly all cells and therefore serves as a good loading control target.
