FLAG-Alpaca-Biotin Anti-DYKDDDDK (Flag) tag Alpaca Nanobody(VHH) Conjugated Biotin
Catalog number :AT8311
FLAG-Alpaca-Biotin Anti-DYKDDDDK (Flag) tag Alpaca Nanobody(VHH) Conjugated Biotin is designed for detecting DYKDDDDK tag fusion proteins specifically. FLAG-Alpaca-Biotin Anti-DYKDDDDK (Flag) tag Alpaca Nanobody(VHH) Conjugated Biotin is recombinant alpaca nanobody conjugated biotin. It detects the DYKDDDDK tag selectively, no reactivity with other proteins.
- Overview
- Description
- FLAG-Alpaca-Biotin Anti-DYKDDDDK (Flag) tag Alpaca Nanobody(VHH) Conjugated Biotin
- Reactivity
- Detect transfected DYKDDDDK tag fusion proteins expressed in E. coli, yeast, insect cell, mammalian cell, or in vitro transcription/translation systems. All systems that express DYKDDDDK tag fusion protein are suitable.
- Tested applications
- It can be coupled with streptavidin, or streptavidin-HRP, or streptavidin-fluoresent dye, or streptavidin-beads.
Applications for which the Streptavidin-biotin interaction is used include:Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)Immunohistochemistry (IHC)Western, Northern and Southern blottingImmunoprecipitationCell surface labelingAffinity purificationFluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS)Electrophoretic mobility shift assays (EMSA)Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Figure 1. Alpaca antibodies are smaller than other mammalian antibodies. Mammalian IgG consists a heavy (green) and light (blue) chain, with variable heavy (VH) and variable light (VL) domains that facilitate the memory-like binding properties of antibodies. Camelid antibodies consist only a heavy chain (green) with a single variable heavy (VHH) domain for target recognition. This VHH domain can be expressed alone without the heavy chains, forming a single domain VHH.

- Highlights
- Benefits Of Alpaca nanobody
- No Fc fragment of ordinary antibodies, so there is no non-specific binding of Fc to the cell surface Fc receptor of immune cells in flow cytometry experiments
- Highly specific binding
- Low background
- High affinity
- High stability
- Alpaca nanobody is a small molecule with molecular weight of only 13kD (Conventional rabbit or mouse antibody is 150kD), so it can easily enter permeablized cells
- Animal-free production, recombinant expression in yeast and affinity purified
